How we handle data

Privacy policy.

Collaboration depends on trust. This policy explains what information CollabLovin handles, why we use it, when it is shared, and the choices available to you.

Effective 27 September 2026

Privacy at a glance

This Privacy Policy describes how CollabLovin (“CollabLovin,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use collablovin.com and our business and creator platforms, apps, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

We use information to run the platform, support collaborations, process transactions, keep accounts secure, and improve the Services. We do not sell personal information.

1. Scope

This policy applies to information handled by CollabLovin through the Services, support channels, and related communications. It applies to business owners and team members, creators, visitors, and anyone who communicates with us.

It does not govern information handled independently by social networks, payment providers, websites linked from the Services, or another member outside CollabLovin. Their own privacy policies apply to that processing.

2. Account and profile data

We collect information you provide when registering, signing in, completing onboarding, or updating an account. This may include your name, email address, phone number, profile image, location, language, login credentials, authentication settings, account preferences, and support history.

We also maintain account status, roles, permissions, security events, active sessions, and records of your acceptance of legal or campaign terms.

3. Business and team data

For business accounts, we may collect the business name, description, industry, website, contact details, brand assets, billing address, legal name, tax identifiers, and other information submitted during setup or campaign creation.

Team features may contain member names, work email addresses, invitations, roles, access permissions, and account activity. Business owners and authorised administrators can view and manage information associated with their workspace.

4. Creator and social-account data

Creator profiles may include a display name, biography, image, location, languages, content categories, portfolio material, rates or preferences, social handles, and information about audience size, demographics, reach, and engagement.

When you connect a social account, we may receive platform identifiers, profile details, posts or media, performance metrics, permissions, and access tokens made available under your choices and the connected platform’s rules. You can disconnect an account, although we may retain prior campaign and transaction records as described below.

If you connect a professional Instagram account through Meta, the permissions you grant may let us receive your Instagram account ID, username, name, profile image, follower count, posts and media, comments, messages, account and post insights, and an access token. We use this information to connect your account, show your creator profile and selected content, measure campaign results, and provide the publishing, comment, and messaging features you choose to use. We store the token to provide those features while the account is connected. We do not ask for your Instagram password.

Eligible business users may see your Instagram handle, profile image, follower and engagement figures, and content or campaign results shown in your CollabLovin creator profile or a shared campaign. We do not show them your Instagram access token or private Instagram messages. The Instagram connection is optional; you can disconnect it in the creator platform.

5. Campaigns, content, and communications

We process campaign briefs, budgets, eligibility settings, invitations, applications, deliverables, drafts, published content, links, approvals, agreements, schedules, and performance information. We also process messages and files exchanged through the Services or sent to support.

Campaign records may show who performed an action, when it happened, and the status of a collaboration. Content published on a social network is also handled under that network’s privacy settings and policies.

6. Payments and transactions

We collect information needed to fund campaigns, maintain wallet records, calculate eligible earnings, arrange creator payouts, issue transaction histories, address disputes, and meet tax or accounting obligations. This may include billing details, tax information, payout details, amounts, currency, status, and campaign or transaction references.

Payment and payout providers may collect card, bank, identity, or verification information directly. We generally receive limited details such as a provider reference, payment method type, and transaction or verification status rather than complete financial credentials.

7. Automatically collected data

When you use the Services, we may automatically collect IP address, browser and device type, operating system, language, approximate location derived from IP, timestamps, referring pages, feature interactions, error reports, and diagnostic, security, and audit logs.

For campaign measurement, we may process visits, clicks, device or browser signals, referral information, timestamps, and deduplication or fraud-prevention indicators. Displayed activity may be reviewed or corrected before it becomes eligible for payment.

8. Cookies and local storage

We use cookies, browser storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, protect accounts, prevent duplicate or invalid activity, maintain service reliability, and understand how features are used.

You can control cookies through browser or device settings. See our Cookie Policy for the current storage list and controls. Blocking essential storage may prevent authentication, security, preferences, or other parts of the Services from working correctly.

9. Where information comes from

We receive information from you; from the business or team that invites you; from brands, creators, or other members involved in a collaboration; from connected social platforms; from payment, authentication, analytics, security, and support providers; and from public sources where permitted by law.

If you give us information about another person, you must have authority to do so and provide any notice or obtain any permission required by law.

10. How we use information

We use information to:

  • create, authenticate, secure, and administer accounts;
  • operate discovery, invitations, campaigns, publishing, measurement, messaging, wallet, billing, and payout features;
  • personalise profiles and recommendations and help participants evaluate potential collaborations;
  • provide support, send service notices, and resolve campaign, account, or payment issues;
  • detect fraud, artificial activity, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our terms;
  • analyse performance, troubleshoot errors, and develop or improve the Services; and
  • comply with law, enforce agreements, and establish or defend legal claims.

Depending on the context and applicable law, we process information with your consent, to provide the Services or perform a contract, for legitimate and proportionate business purposes, or to meet legal obligations.

11. How we share information

We may share information with:

  • businesses, creators, and authorised team members as needed to evaluate, run, measure, and complete collaborations;
  • vendors that provide hosting, communications, analytics, authentication, security, support, payment, and professional services under appropriate obligations;
  • social networks and payment providers when you connect or use their services;
  • authorities or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate misuse, or respond to valid legal process; and
  • a buyer, investor, adviser, or successor in connection with a proposed or completed financing, merger, reorganisation, or transfer of the business, subject to appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell personal information. We may share aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify you.

Information obtained through Meta’s APIs is shared only as needed for the connected features you choose, with service providers acting for us, or where law requires it, subject to Meta’s Platform Terms. The general categories above do not authorize us to sell or otherwise transfer Meta-provided data to an investor, buyer, or other third party outside those terms.

12. Profile and content visibility

Information intended for discovery, such as a creator’s profile, social metrics, portfolio, categories, or public posts, may be visible to eligible business users. Campaign participants can see the information and content needed for their collaboration. Workspace owners and administrators can see information associated with their business account and team.

Content published on a social platform may be public according to your settings there. Avoid placing sensitive personal information in profiles, campaign briefs, messages, files, or public content unless it is necessary and appropriate to share.

13. Connected and third-party services

Social networks, payment processors, sign-in providers, and linked websites control their own processing. Review their privacy settings and policies before connecting an account or providing information. Their permissions, availability, and retention rules can affect what information we receive or can delete.

Disconnecting a service stops future access where supported but does not automatically delete information already used for a completed campaign, transaction, security investigation, or legal record.

For Instagram, disconnecting removes the stored connection and access token, along with linked Instagram message copies and publication records held in our active service. You can also ask us to delete information obtained from Meta as explained in section 16. Any remaining campaign or transaction information is subject to the Meta-specific deletion rule below.

14. Data retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Services, maintain campaign and transaction records, protect the platform, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations.

Retention depends on the type of information, why it was collected, account status, unresolved obligations, legal requirements, and technical backup cycles. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it where reasonably practicable.

We delete information obtained through Meta’s APIs when you ask us to delete it, when your Instagram connection is removed, or when Meta asks us to delete it, unless applicable law requires us to keep specific information. A general business interest in keeping completed campaign records does not override a request to delete Meta-provided data. We also remove such information when it is no longer needed for the feature for which it was collected.

15. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organisational measures designed to protect information, including access controls, authentication, logging, encryption where appropriate, and security monitoring. No system or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Protect your credentials, use available security features, keep devices updated, and contact support@collablovin.com promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

16. Your choices and privacy rights

You can update many profile and account details, manage team access, change preferences, disconnect supported social accounts, and control browser storage through the Services or your device. You may also request access, correction, erasure, or other action available under applicable law, and may withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.

Send a request from the email associated with your account to support@collablovin.com. We may need to verify your identity and authority. Some information may be retained where required for legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, completed transactions, disputes, or the rights of others. You may use an authorised representative where the law permits.

To request deletion of Instagram or other Meta-provided data, disconnect the account in the creator platform or email support@collablovin.com with the subject “Meta data deletion request.” Include your CollabLovin account email and Instagram username if you have them. You may use the email option even if you can no longer sign in or have already disconnected the account. We will verify the request where needed and remove the Meta-provided data we hold, except for specific information we must keep under applicable law. Removing CollabLovin’s access in Instagram does not itself delete your Instagram account or posts from Instagram.

17. Communication choices

We send account, authentication, security, campaign, billing, payout, support, and legal messages needed to provide the Services. You may not be able to opt out of essential service communications while maintaining an account.

You can use available preference controls or an unsubscribe link to stop eligible marketing messages. This will not stop transactional or service communications.

18. Children’s privacy

The Services are not directed to children who cannot lawfully use them on their own. Where applicable law permits a minor to use the Services only with a parent or legal guardian, the required consent and supervision must be in place before information is submitted.

If you believe a child’s information was provided without the permission required by law, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

19. International data transfers

CollabLovin and its service providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Those countries may have different data-protection rules. Where required, we use contractual, organisational, or other safeguards for cross-border processing.

20. Changes, questions, and grievances

We may update this policy as the Services, our practices, or legal requirements change. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice or seek consent where required.

For privacy questions, requests, or grievances, email support@collablovin.com. Describe your request and include the account email or relevant reference, but never send a password, one-time code, or full payment-card details.
